Background:
ReDent Nova GmbH & Co. Kg. is a pioneering force in healthcare product development, manufacturing, and distribution. At the forefront of their offerings is the SAF INFINITUM System, an innovative endodontic technology that empowers dentists to perform highly successful 3D root canal treatments. Following an intensive research and development phase for their groundbreaking SAF INFINITUM endodontic system, ReDent Nova set an ambitious goal: transitioning from prototype to a globally launched product by Q4-2021. To make this vision a reality, ReDent Nova sought a manufacturing partner with not only the technical expertise to plan, engineer, and produce the complex plastic components essential for the SAF INFINITUM control unit but also a commitment to personalized service and open communication. They needed a collaborative partner they could engage with at every stage of the process. The Challenge: ReDent Nova’s innovative endodontic system demanded the creation of exceptionally intricate plastic parts with tight tolerances and remarkably thin walls. It was imperative that these components work seamlessly to ensure precise assembly and reliable operation. The project also presented the unique challenge of meeting demanding delivery schedules, involving intensive cooperation with two leading engineering agencies in Israel, each responsible for different aspects of the unit’s planning and engineering. Additionally, collaboration with a prominent German manufacturer was essential for producing all consumable parts—all of this unfolding in the midst of the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Solution:
Collaborating closely with ReDent Nova’s research and development team, the Radiguard™ engineering team identified the ideal compound capable of meeting the rigorous electronic and mechanical requirements for the system’s smooth operation. This compound also had to adhere to stringent CE quality standards. Once the compound was selected, our seasoned manufacturing team meticulously planned and executed the manufacturing processes necessary to inject a wide range of complex and intricate components.
